At the Pacific Region Training & Technical Assistance Center, we help organizations serving Native communities in the Pacific to develop and to find grant funding for their community-based projects. As a Resource of the Administration for Native Americans, we are dedicated to serving the Native peoples of the Pacific Region, including Hawai‘i, American Sāmoa, Guam and CNMI. Our Team
Kaulana Ing Pacific Region Director
kaulana@anapacific.orgKaulana has worked with Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander organizations for more than 18 years, with a focus on strategy, culture, economic development, journalism and media. With more than 13 years experience working in the ANA Pacific Region, Kaulana helps ANA grant applicants and awardees to develop and sustain community-based projects. Kaulana is Native Hawaiian. He holds a PMP and an MBA and comes from Makawao, Maui. Today, he lives in Wahiawā with his wife, Kelsey.
Napua Harbottle Technical Assistance Manager
napua@anapacific.orgNapua has been working with Native non-profit organizations for more than 15 years, helping them to build capacity through project planning and grant management. She holds a BS in Botany and a BA in Communications and has provided over 1000 hours of technical assistance through her work at the ANA Pacific Region T/TA Center. Napua is a practitioner of laau lapaau (traditional Hawaiian healing) and is most proud of her role as Puna to her 3 grandchildren.
Paige Miki Kalāokananikiʻekiʻe Okamura Training Specialist
paige@anapacific.orgPaige is a keiki papa of Māeaea, Waialua. She teaches Hawaiian at UH Mānoa through Ua Ao Hawaiʻi, the free Hawaiian language initiative open to the public. Her masters research is focused on strengthening Hawaiian communities through understanding their kuleana to ʻāina. With 10+ years of Hawaiian research and translation experience, she believes that language is key to cultural and national identity. Her deep aloha for her ʻohana, ʻāina, and language drive her to educate those around her about the value of indigenous perspectives and knowledge to the global community.
Angel Permito-Kaheaku Outreach & Project Support Specialist
angel@anapacific.orgAngel recently joined the Pacific Region T/TA Center to support with outreach, training, and special projects. Angel has supported community-based businesses, organizations, and projects focused on economic & small business development, preservation of Hawaiian cultural knowledge, and grassroots organizing with project management/coordination, outreach, program development, fundraising, and advocacy. She was raised in Lualualei and now lives in Kapahulu on O'ahu.
